Join The Chapter

We are delighted that you would like to become a member of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science! The process involves completing a brief application form then paying for your membership (using either Paypal or a credit card). Easy!

Once your membership is approved, you can:

  • enhance your directory listing
  • manage the types of topics and events for which you would like to receive email from us
  • manage your privacy settings (what other members and the public can see about you)
  • subscribe to our active Google listserv
  • get significant discounts on trainings that we organize

All members of the local chapter must be members in good standing of the parent organization. If you are not yet a member of ACBS, or your membership has lapsed, please visit, contextualscience.org and renew prior to completing this application process.

How to join

Click here to join the Chapter. 

You will be prompted to select the membership level and to complete the membership application. Your application data also populates your directory listing. Fields not available for public view are clearly marked as such.

When you complete your application, you will be taken to a payment screen. Please submit the requisite annual dues. You will receive confirmation of your membership via email. You’re all set and now a San Francisco Bay Area ACBS Chapter member!

Affiliate Member - $40.00 (USD)

Subscription period: 1 year
No automatically recurring payments

While Affiliate members need not be practicing behavioral health professionals, Affiliate members shall be members in good standing with the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, with interests in the purpose of the Association/Chapter. Most chapter members live or work within the geographic territory of the chapter, such that it is feasible that the member could attend and participate in chapter activities. Others with strong ties to the San Francisco Bay Area may also join the chapter.

Professional Member - $40.00 (USD)

Subscription period: 1 year
No automatically recurring payments

Professional members shall be members in good standing with the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, have a graduate degree relevant to the purposes of the Association, and be a working professional in a field relevant to the purposes of the Association. Most chapter members live or work within the geographic territory of the chapter, such that it is feasible that the member could attend and participate in chapter activities. Others with strong ties to the San Francisco Bay Area may also join the chapter.

Student/Intern/Retired/Emeritus Member - $10.00 (USD)

Subscription period: 1 year
No automatically recurring payments

Student/Intern/Retired/Emeritus members shall be members in good standing with the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, and pursuing a degree or internship relevant to the purposes of the Association, or retired from the relevant profession. Most chapter members live or work within the geographic territory of the chapter, such that it is feasible that the member could attend and participate in chapter activities. Others with strong ties to the San Francisco Bay Area may also join the chapter. Applicants requesting Student/Intern status must be prepared to furnish proof of their enrollment in a degree program or internship at the time of application.
