 Learn how to expand on the traditional treatment models of OCD by  incorporating new evidence-based treatment techniques into your practice. 

Marisa will lead us through:

  • Brief review of Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD.
  •  Discussion about similarities and differences between ERP & ACT.
  • Summary of some of the new ACT and OCD research.
  •  Discussion of how to blend the two models.
  •  Case Demonstration.
The presentation will include lecture, case demonstration, and some experiential practice.

Dr. Marisa T. Mazza is a licensed psychologist in private practice in San Francisco. She is also adjunct faculty at San Francisco University. She graduated from Alliant International University in 2009 with her doctorate in clinical psychology. Most of her career has been focused on providing evidence-based therapies to adults struggling with OCD, Anxiety, Chronic Pain & ADHD.  

 Dr. Mazza is certified in Exposure and Response Prevention through The Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania and through The Behavioral Therapy Institute. Dr. Mazza has also participated in trainings and regular supervision / consultation to enhance her knowledge and skills in the area of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
