He will offer metaphors and techniques for relating to the inner critic as well as self-compassion exercises to teach clients in session and with ourselves. He will explore how self-compassion fits into the ACT model and why self-compassion works so well with anxiety and depression.

Ellis Edmunds is a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Oakland, CA. He specializes in using ACT to help Bay Area professionals struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. He is passionate about mindfulness and self-compassion practices and gives workshops on mindfulness for teachers and employees. He has also created two ACT games: The Mindful Bus and Drop the Rope. In his free time you can find him playing basketball, Taiko drumming, and enjoying time with his family and friends.
