Title: ACBS Book Discussion on Shame, Vulnerability, Resilience and The Black Experience

Description: Join us for our 2nd annual DEI focused book discussion. Last year, we came together to discuss Ibram Kendi's book, How to Be an Anti-Racist

This year, Christy Tadros will be leading a discussion on Tarana Burke and Brene Brown's new book, You Are Your Best Thing, a collection of essays on Black Shame and Healing.

*Please note that this book is an anthology and you do not need to read the entire book to attend the discussion. We will reference different essays while centering the conversation around how shame and vulnerability are necessary in healing from the personal and systemic effects of racism.

If you don't have time to read the book, but want to join the discussion, you can also listen to this podcast episode that includes a reading from the book.
